Mars Area School District will begin accepting completed registration packets for Mars Area Primary Center’s 2021-2022 Kindergarten Program at the school’s Kindergarten Lottery Registration Day, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 16, at Mars Area Centennial School.
Note: The selection of the AM or PM Kindergarten session is done through a lottery system. Once the maximum class size is reached, the session will be closed and individuals may be placed on a waiting list for their session preference.
The Starting Lottery Number is 865. Distributed lottery tickets began with number 700 and a total of 215 tickets were handed out to those parents/guardians who attended the school’s 2021-2022 Kindergarten Registration Packet Distribution on Feb. 25-26. No additional lottery tickets will be distributed.
Lottery tickets matching the student’s name must be presented at the Lottery Registration Day event. The District will only accept completed Kindergarten Registration Packets before registering a student for the preferred session.
In light of COVID concerns, seating in the bleachers at Mars Area Centennial School gymnasium will be marked to encourage appropriate social distancing. No food or beverages will be permitted in the gymnasium.
Parents/guardians, who do not wish to enter the building, may turn in their child’s Kindergarten Registration Packet to a designated District employee at the rear gymnasium doors in the exterior basketball court area. Parents/guardians may then wait outside for registration confirmation.
All parents/guardians are reminded that face coverings (masks or shields) and appropriate social distancing will be required at all times on the Mars Area Centennial School campus.
