Mars Area School District will join in the fight against breast cancer as part of its annual Pink Out & “Hats for Heroes” fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 13, to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation.

As part of the event, students (Grades K-12) will be asked to make a donation in return for the opportunity to wear a hat in school on Friday, Oct. 13. (Checks may be made payable to “Susan G. Komen”) Donations will also be accepted online at www.info-komen.org/goto/Hatsforheroes.  

All students and staff are encouraged to wear pink on Friday, Oct. 13, to raise awareness for the cause. For more information, call  (724) 625-3145.
