Students in two Mars Area Primary Center classrooms will coat their building principal in silly string on Thursday, May 11.

During the school’s 2023 American Heart Association fundraiser (Feb. 1-March 10), which raised a whopping $20,120.78 for the cause, Jessica Semler set forth a Principal’s Challenge. She offered the class in each grade level that brought in the highest number of registrants for the Kids Heart Challenge an opportunity to “silly string” their principal.

Students in the winning classrooms, Kim Schuelke’s AM kindergarten class and Kiley Shine’s first grade class, will get a chance to cover Semler in silly string at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively, on Thursday, May 11, on the school’s playground.
