In the initial rounds of the competition, the team shut out Penn-Trafford 9-0 and Peters Township 6-0. In the semifinals, the team defeated the Mars (Smith) Team 4-1; and in the final round, stopped the Plum Strikers 5-3.
Team members are Mars Area Elementary School fourth-graders Mila Roberman and Norah Gehlmann; third-graders Avery Kreit, Ada McCurry, Claire Rhoads, Kaia Sanata, Celia Stimmel, Brooke Vuckovich and Emily Wasynczuk; and, second-grader Mya Mincin; and Mars Area Primary Center first-grader Thea McCurry.
