Several members of Mars Youth Wrestling placed in the 2025 Keystone State Championships, held March 14-16 at Penn State University.
In the girls competition, third-grader Brooke Lint earned third place in the 88-pound weight class in the 8U bracket; and first-grader Shane Miller (45) received seventh place in the 6U bracket. Other participants included sixth-grader Bennie Vargo and fourth-grader Charlie Vargo.
In the boys competition, fourth-grader Dane Bova (75) took fourth place in the 10U bracket. Other competitors included fifth-graders Hayden Hazi (65) and Blake Wilson (120); fourth-graders Jack Miller (70), Jackson Swackhammer (60) and Rex Watenpool (75); third-grader Walter Covert (70); and, second-grader Beckett Bova (55).
Also competing were sixth-grader Alex Carson (80) in the 12U bracket; second-graders Holden Hazi (50) and Chase Barkley (60) in the 8U bracket; and kindergarten Layton Swick (61) in the in the 6U bracket.
