Mars Area Primary Center collected $1,940 as part of a Pie-in-the-Face Fundraiser, held Nov. 17-21.

Students in kindergarten and first grade were asked to bring in donations to benefit the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program, which recognizes and rewards students for positive behavior

The students in the classes with the most donations earned an opportunity to toss a pie in the face of their teacher at an assembly on Nov. 21. Winning classrooms were Rebecca Lumpp’s AM Kindergarten class ($209), Maria Rios’s First Grade class ($160), and Jane Nusser’s PM Kindergarten class ($139).

In addition, every Mars Area Primary Center student had a chance to pie a teacher or staff member during the assembly. For more information, call (724) 625-1588.
