Several Mars Area School District students will join the cast of Batavia Studios’ production of Annie Jr., which takes the stage May 8-10 at the Succop Theater (Butler).
Fifth-grader Maggie Meisel is leading the cast in the title role as Annie. Additional cast members include eighth-grader Carter Ranson as Lily St. Regis; seventh-grader Grace Carnicelli as Grace; sixth-graders Amaya Constant as Mrs. Greer/Grandma, Maggie Coopey as Statue of Liberty, Amelia Forte as Bundles, and Anna Miller as Annette; fifth-graders Brendan Sweeney as Dog Catcher/Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Ellie Mowen as Apple Seller/Ensemble; third-graders Annie Coval as Molly, Addison Winn as Mrs. Pugh, Hazel Morrow as Featured Orphan/Sound Effects, and Quinn Grady as Orphan/Usherette; and first-grader Alledria Bauman as Molly.
Annie Jr. follows the plucky orphan as she escapes her “hard-knock life” in an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan to try and find her parents, but instead finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks.
