All elementary level (K-6) classroom assignment letters for the 2018-2019 School Year have been mailed.
The distribution of the letters was previously delayed as the District was in the process of hiring for a newly created teaching position at the primary level to address building needs and to further reduce class sizes. As expected, the creation of the new position required some changes to students’ classroom assignments.
Again, Mars Area School District would like to apologize for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience as we continue to strive to provide the most accurate back-to-school information for your student. Questions regarding classroom assignments may be directed to the main office at your student's school building.
REMINDER — All elementary buildings will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, during the District's annual Elementary Visitation Day. The event offers students and their parents an opportunity to check out the buildings before the first day of school for students (Wednesday, Aug. 29).
During the event, the District will conduct license scans for prospective Assistive Volunteers (in accordance with District Policy 916 Volunteers) at Mars Area Primary Center. Anyone interested in doing more may obtain an Independent Volunteer application packet at the District’s Administration Office. (All volunteer approvals are only valid during the school year in which approval is granted and must be renewed annually for all volunteers.) More information about volunteer requirements is available at www.marsk12.org.
Again, please direct any questions regarding classroom assignments to the main office at your student's school building. Thank you.
