Required Steps for Kindergarten Registration
When completing the Online Student Enrollment process, Mars Area School District asks that parents/guardians pay particular attention to the following steps in the online form:
STEP ONE — Select "Next School Year (2024-2025)
STEP FIVE — Have the following documents ready to upload:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency (For examples, of acceptable proof of residency, visit https://4.files.edl.io/376f/02/17/23/175409-120fa917-e053-48fb-8e0a-36ed75517e8b.pdf)
- Immunization Records —
EXEMPTIONS — Any parents/guardians applying for an exemption to immunizations, as required under Pennsylvania School Health Law (28 Pa.CODE CH.23), must complete an "Exemption to Immunizations" form (available at https://www.marsk12.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=3480594&type=d&pREC_ID=2391522) and upload the form during the Online Enrollment Process.
STEP SIX — Complete the following required forms:
- 2024-2025 AM/PM Kindergarten Preference
Note: The time stamp, when each completed application is submitted, as well as the selected preference will be used to determine into which kindergarten session a student is placed. (Preference selection is not guaranteed.) Once the maximum class size is reached, the session will be closed, and individuals may be placed on a waiting list for their session preference.
Following the successful completion of the online enrollment process, parents/guardians will receive an e-mail confirmation from the District’s registrar. The message will note into which kindergarten session the student has been placed.
